PROJECT: Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall Renovation
BUDGET: $255,000
PROJECT MANAGER: Rod McGallian
SCOPE: The scope of work for this project was to construct new security enclosures for the High-Risk inmates at the facility’s education buildings. The scope of work also included the construction of a new 20’ high fence made of Constantine wire, along with the fabrication and installation of new vehicle and pedestrian gates.
SUMMARY: Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall in Sylmar, California provides care, housing, and retention of approximately 700 juvenile inmates. Because the facility covers 85,000 square feet, our teams had to work closely with the facility’s staff to ensure that all points of entry for equipment and crews were cleared so that no breeches in security occurred.
