PROJECT: Refugee Center Office Relocation & Renovation

SCOPE: The scope of this project required that Torres Construction perform all tenant improvements in order to relocate and renovate the Refugee Center offices. Torres was responsible for the demolition of the old existing offices and the construction of new offices, training rooms, and work stations. This project required building new office partitions, installing internet, phone, & data (ITD) lines, and new flooring. The general renovation work performed included the following trades: demolition, carpentry, drywall, painting, metal stud framing, flooring, electrical.
SUMMARY: All the work for this project was performed on a 24 hour schedule with crews working during the daytime hours when the offices were open and functioning, and throughout the night when they were closed. Special precautions were taken during office hours to maintain a safe environment for the employees and visitors to the building. Office equipment and work areas were covered with plastic to protect them and care was taken to ensure that the offices were open and functional for the employees the next morning.
